Succulent chicken melds with nutty pistachios and earthy olive oil to deliver a two punch flavor combo of fats and protein that will fuel your brain and help with the gains bro!
This 3 ingredient flavor explosion is also super easy to whip up if you are pressed for time and it’s perfect if you hate spending an hour extra in the kitchen cleaning up the food that splattered everywhere while making that tantalizing dish you saw on the gram.
Side note : Isn’t that what the cool kids call Instagram nowadays or is that just me?
So pick up a large bag of pistachios (without the shells cause that would hurt) next time you are in the supermarket.
And look for free range or organic chicken tenders preferably not fed soy or binders or the scraps of whatever the farmhand ate for dinner. Yikes!
It’s best if it tells you who helped tend to the chickens before they were slaughtered (circle of life my friend) so you know it’s a clean source which also means better vibrational positive energy in the food if that chicken lived a rather stress free life (before it was killed)
This simply means your body and brain will receive the food as nourishment rather than more trash (junk food) thrown into the compactor (your mouth).

Before you head out snatch up a bottle of extra virgin olive oil in a dark bottle.
Why dark bottle?
Because it means that the oil is less exposed to outside light which can oxidize the oil causing the formation of free radicals and subsequently oxidative stress.I’m not going to get into the deep science and reasoning of this (I’ll save that for another post) but just know that oxidative stress causes premature aging in your cells.
I think we all should want to live as long as possible don’t you think?
Free radicals caused by oxidized oils also creates widespread inflammation throught the body and effects the brain greatly impairing development and assisting with the formation (overtime) of amyloid plaque responsible for alzheimers and other neurodegenerative diseases. Not good!
The oil should also come from a local source, in other words your country. So somewhere known for quality olive oil like California if you happen to be in the US for example.
My new favorite californian olive oil is Cobram Estate and it’s bottled at the source in California! You can find this oil in stores like Giant if you are in the US.

When oils are exported from overseas they sit there on the ship for days, weeks or even possibly a month before finally reaching your soil and then grabbed out of a box and placed on the shelf for health conscious mediterranean dieters.

To touch on the previous point a bit more, since they take so long to arrive the oil can lose it’s potency and the brain protecting benefits of the oleocanthal become diminished inside the oil which is the primary antioxidant (anti-oxidation) along with another antioxidant oleuropein which can stave off the aformentioned neurodegenerative maladies.
Much olive oil is blended overseas with various other oils from different countries which can inadvertently have mycotoxins (mold) as well. So when you source your olive oil locally or from a trusted source so you have a much higher probability that it will help you rather than hurt you in the long run!
BUT that being said you absolutely CAN find quality olive oil that is from Greece or Spain but it’s not going to be the bertolli or the fellipo berri which are usually bottled in almost translucent plastic containers.
For super high quality olive oil that you can trust with olives straight from the olive oil motherland Greece, I highly recommend you go for any of Soultana’s olive oil, with my absolute favorite being the ACAIA which is bottled directly in the Greek islands and has won numerous awards for taste and quality!

It’s not always available on the site but that’s the only greek olive oil I use after having met and chatted with the owner Emad and his wife in person!
That being said any other olive oil on Soultanas site is still a great choice!
A note on plastic bottled olive oils: Olive oil in plastic is not safe to go for because of the BPA that can leech out of the plastic when exposed to light over time.
BPA (or bisphenol A) is a hormone-disrupting chemical found in most plastic containers. I’ll make another post about this sometime. Just go for glass when it comes to eating or storing anything in general especially fragile oils like olive oil.
So stachios?  √
Organic free-range chicken? √
Quality olive oil? √
Now all that’s missing is a spice blend to really make your taste buds dance!
I have been using McCormick Himalayan sea salt mix with black pepper and garlic which is also paleo and free from msg or other unnecessary granules of death found in most generic spice blends.
Himalayan sea salt is naturally PACKED with trace minerals (hence why it’s pink) and this blend gives a delicious rustic flavor when paired with any meat or even potatoes!
White sweet potatoes + this spice blend are a match made in culinary heaven fyi!

And you need a food processor!
I suppose you could use a blender as long as you don’t forget you started making the pistachio mix but then decided to start blending in everything you need for that killer protein shake.
Chocolate protein powder combined with pistachios and olive oil is NOT a great combo! 🤮
